DRE CRYPT MPEG-4 (module for viewing "Tricolor TV")?
Guys, help out with advice. After buying (finally) a modern TV with a built-in satellite receiver, I wanted to watch satellite HD channels on it. I learned that Tricolor has an affordable HD package. I learned that there is a module for the TV set DRE CRYPT MPEG-4 with which you can watch coded channels in HD quality.
But! Sellers of modules warn that soon they may no longer be supported by Tricolor. In the Tricolor support service, they say like zombies: "buy our receivers, the modules have not been tested by us." But I don’t want a separate receiver, because it is on the TV and it’s very convenient - one remote control and no extra device.
Tell me, how much do I risk buying this DRE CRYPT MPEG-4 module? And if I risk, tell me alternative options. I must say right away that I am not ready to pay more than 1000 a year for television. Of the programs, I'm interested in "Rain", something of high quality scientific and something for the child (although you can watch it on the air).
Thank you!
UPD: Found on the Internet today (someone was lucky with support):
I called today in support of Tricolor about the modules. They confirmed that in the new year, after the introduction of the new ADEC encoding, HD channels on DRE NKE MPEG-4 modules will not work, because. these modules are still deprecated. But they say that modules are being tested on different equipment, and there is a possibility that the modules will be recognized as recommended, because. "The company is interested in increasing the number of subscribers." Then, perhaps, a firmware update for these modules will be offered for their compatibility with the new encoding. Or, if they become recommended, there will be new modules with new firmware. It is not known when the issue will be resolved, they say follow the news. More, probably, no one will say now, it remains to wait.Source: www.telesputnik.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=3131...

I explain. Because the signal from the satellite is available to everyone who has a dish and a receiver - everyone can watch it. Operators encrypt the video stream in a certain way by selling equipment and a subscription. Some encryption methods have a "dynamic key" that is not enough to know the algorithm and password to decode the signal. The password changes every 2-3 seconds. In tricolor equipment, several modules can be built in to decode the signal, or the algorithm can be changed by flashing the receiver with new firmware. You run the risk that when the tricolor stops using / changes the algorithm that can be decrypted by the DRE CRYPT module, this module will turn into a pumpkin.
