Doubts and supposedly unclaimed articles on Habré

I have been tormented by the question for a long time: I have a couple of small programs that were written for myself, for purely personal purposes. (One in Flash, the other in C++ MFC, but that doesn't matter.) . It seems like writing articles about creating small programs that are unlikely to stand out for some original solutions - not something that the habra community will regard positively. But on the other hand, these programs perform the functions for which they were intended in the first place. And, secondly, perhaps for someone it will be useful how they were created, and maybe someone will be able to learn something from articles about them. But objectively, these programs are still figs.

Despite the fact that in the near future I still hardly have time to write large articles, the question still remains open:Does it make sense to post articles about such programs on Habr?

Probably if the author himself says:

But objectively, these programs are still figs.

it's better not to. Although a lot here depends on what exactly these programs do, how useful they can be, and what interesting features were in their development.
... in the near future I still hardly have time to write large articles ...

It is not at all necessary that large posts will be interesting. The issue here is not volume. Habré is full of examples of small, but sooo interesting articles.

And what is the purpose of publication if the programs are “small and do not stand out with any original solutions”? I think that there will be a lot of such programs in the backrooms of Khabrovites, you will get tired of reading about each one!
And now IMHO: for useful, informative, but not carrying revelations and novelty, articles (most often notes from personal experience, own rethinking of certain IT issues ...) there are personal blogs. And on Habré I would like to see either detailed complex solutions, or simple, but ingenious ones.

I think it's worth considering at least the following things:

  1. What is the purpose of the publication?
  2. Has this topic been discussed before?
  3. Do you yourself like your decision (approach, thought, news, etc)

If you cannot answer the first question, then the article will be about nothing, and readers will understand this.
If this topic has been touched upon before, then you need to understand why your article is better than others. Otherwise, there is no point in writing.
Well, the last point - your article should be of interest to someone (otherwise, what's the point of wasting your time?). This means that the idea must be presented tasty, even if it itself fits into three sentences.
PS Sorry, I first went to the wrong thread.
