Doesn't print network printer from Win7

There is an HP 4014n printer. Connected to the network, the clients are mostly Windows XP, everything works fine, the driver is installed from the disk and everything prints.

There is of course one caveat - printing starts with a delay of about 30 seconds. That is, if something is sent for printing from a computer with WinXP, nothing is shown on the printer that it has a job. Just silence, and only after half a minute does he start typing.

On one computer with Windows 7 x64 SP1, printing does not plow at all. Firewood from the disk is not suitable (an error during the installation process). Firewood from the HP site is put, but the press does not go. In some cases, it shows that the printer is disabled. Now, after some dancing with a tambourine, the printer issues "User intervention required."

What can be done?

Try stopping the P ml Driver HPZ12 and Net Driver HPZ12 services and delete the HPZipm12.dll and HPZinw12.dll files from the system32 folder. Then install HP Universal Print Driver bit.ly/bAk3O8

I could not overcome the x64 win 7 problem with some printers, on win 7 x32 they all wound up perfectly, so I advise you to install the 32-bit version of the axis.

If the situation is absolutely hopeless, try on some WinXP machine to raise a virtual printer with a redirect to the network. I did this guide, everything has been working for a year without problems: www.zenway.ru/page/redirecting-port-in-windows
Crutches, of course, but this is already a completely hopeless case :)

I had a similar problem with a Samsung network printer. enabled the print server service on the server, installed the printer drivers for both versions (both 32 and 64 bit) and shared it over the grid. we connect other computers to this shared. printing goes without delay.

HP has an interesting situation with firewood. I have two HP MFPs. With mfp1120n there was the same problem as you. An error occurred during the installation process when the driver was in Russian (and Win 7 was Eng) and vice versa. The language can be selected when downloading the driver from off. site.

As a possible solution - XP Mode for Win 7. Using it, I solved the problem with scanning HP MFPs under Win7x64 www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx

Somehow there was an article on Habré Universal solution for printing to network printers under Windows 7/Vista/2003/2008 , try it, maybe what you need.
