Who faced the Xerox WorkCentre 3335 printer?
They put 52 wonderful printers in our organization under the secret name Xerox WorkCentre 3335, most of them work fine, but some of them, when connected to the local network via (RG-45), start constantly rebooting, I would say that cyclically, because as soon as it turns on, immediately goes to reboot. But there is a miracle, the same printer works fine via USB. Someone says that the problem is in the grid, but at the same time, the network printers that stood before him worked correctly. These printers periodically reboot at different points, that is, they are not on the same local network. Please tell me where to dig.
UPDATE: Solving Xerox WC 3335 Printer Cyclic Reboot Problem
After contacting Xerox support, I found out that it was necessary to update the printer to the latest firmware and follow the steps that I will quote below. Helped me.
It is also undesirable to place more than 2 documents in the print queue.
1) When connecting with a patch cord to a PC: Disable the TCP/IPv6 protocol and proxy server. To do this, on the web interface, select the tab "Properties" - "Connection" - "Protocols" - "TCP / IP" - uncheck the "Protocol" item in the "TCP / IPv6" section and save the changes. Next, select the "Proxy server" section and uncheck the "Auto-detect proxy server settings" item - save the changes and reboot the device.
2) Try to assign a static IP address to the machine. To do this, on the web interface, select the tab "Properties" - "Connection" - "Protocols" - "TCP / IP" - "IP address resolution" - set "Static" and specify the necessary settings (ip-address, mask, gateway and dns server).
3) On each workstation where the driver for the MFP is installed, go to "Devices and Printers". Click on the machine icon and go to "Printer properties" - "Configuration" - "Bi-directional communication" - set the value to "Off".
4) Also on all PCs, you need to check the port in the driver. To do this, go to "Devices and Printers". Click on the machine icon and go to "Printer properties" - "Ports". The port must be the port with the machine's direct IP address (for example, 192.168.0.10 (Standard TCP/IP port)). If a WSD port or some other port is used, then you need to do the following:
1. On the "Ports" tab, click the "Add port" button - "Standard TCP / IP port" - "New port" - "Next"
2. Enter the current ip -the address of the machine in the "Printer Name or IP Address" field. Further. Ready.
3. Make sure that in the list of ports the checkbox is set to the newly added port and click the "Configure port" button. In the window that opens, uncheck the box "SNMP status is allowed". Apply.
5) Reset network settings.
To reset, press the button with the image of the key on the front panel of the device, the default login is admin, the password is the serial number or 1111.
Then you need to press the button "Machine Status (i)" - "Network Settings" - "TCP / IP Settings " - "Reset".
6) If there is such an opportunity, then try to turn off the PC from the network one by one, it is possible that an incorrect packet exchange occurs with some PC, which leads to a reboot of the device.
