Does your browser slow down in Catalina?

I recently upgraded the OS to Catalina and now I am indignant at the behavior of the browser. I use Chrome and it freezes periodically, it just freezes and that's it. At what point it freezes, I didn’t notice, maybe when changing a tab, closing another one, or opening several. It can hang for a second, for two, three or more. It's depressing. Have you noticed this behavior in this OS, and if you noticed, did you fix it somehow or not?
