Does Upwork have an unpaid trial period?
I am a beginner freelancer on Upwork. The client sent an offer, where it is indicated that there is a trial period of a week, and if he does not like my work, I am obliged to delete all screenshots from the time tracker, he closes the contract and does not pay for the work.
The question is, is it worth it? I can work full time for a week, and then - no work, no money, no review (at best, or even negative). Although the project is interesting, and I have no feedback yet.

Rejected the offer. The man also wanted a scan of my passport. Zero reviews, upwork for 3 weeks.
Thank you all for helping me make the right decision :)
There is no such thing officially on Upwork. It is believed that all hourly time must be paid.
But you have the right to remove the pawned hours. The client has no right to force you to do this, but purely humanly, you can agree on this.
Might be worth it if you're new. It is very important that the client looks reliable: not Indian / Pakistani / Nigerian / etc., so that he has a normal grade (4.5 and above).
And it is better to abandon the wording "you will like my work" on the shore - this is too subjective an assessment.
The wording should be as follows: if the task is completed in full and everything works, then you do not delete any hours. Delete only if you really did not cope with the task, or spent too much time on it (in this case, you delete only extra hours).
Well, trust your feelings - there are a lot of asshole clients on Upwork who want a lot and for cheap (or better for free), who are ready to blackmail with a bad review or even a chargeback. If you feel that the client is inadequate at the very beginning, then run away from him, anyway you will not earn anything good with him.
You should not take on such an offer at all, adequate clients always pay for the time spent, often even for test tasks. In your case, it simply reeks of divorce from a scammer who wants to get a job for free, be sure he will not like your work. Do not waste your time, energy and nerves on such a task. Regarding the reviews, I filled the first 5 reviews purely on simple tasks for students or fixing minor bugs and problems. It takes a little work for such labor costs, and the exhaust is the same in fact, 5 stars, and in extreme cases you can always return the money, in this case your job success rate will suffer temporarily, but at the same time the review will be deleted as if nothing happened.
If there is time, the client is interesting and there is no other work, then it’s worth it.
