Does the WSL image take up all available disk space?

WSL expanded its own virtual disk to the size of all the available memory on disk C.
How can I shrink the disk, the files used in WSL due to which the disk grew in size were deleted after working with them (Ubuntu 20.04 WSL).

I decided to answer my own question after half a year. The virtual machine disk needs to be trimmed.
For example, via diskpart, in PowerShell:

diskpart
elect vdisk file="Путь до .vhdx"
compact vdisk

This is a dynamic disk and cannot be reduced.
