Does the MacBook Pro 13" with Retina display 2013 (ME864) slow down?

Does the Apple MacBook Pro 13" with Retina display 2013 (ME864) laptop slow down? It has a retina, but no discrete graphics and has repeatedly read (Wh on Habré) that it loses the MacBook Air in terms of speed. Is this so
? Does it have any disadvantages against the background of Air, except for the weight and operating time of less?

Don't slow down. Though it depends what you mean by that. You can't play top games. And so, at the maximum i7 for him, the machine is more than comfortable. And it's definitely faster than a Macbook Air on the same i7.

I have 15" and it doesn't slow down (despite the integrated chipset and rather high resolution).

It does not slow down, but it heats up like a bad one and requires a stand.
