Does the geographic location of NS servers matter?

Does the geographic location of the NS servers to which the domain is delegated and ping to them from the client play a role, if, as far as I understand (correct if I'm wrong), all DNS records are still cached by public servers like 8.8.8.8 and the client does not communicate in any way with your NS server? Or is it connected?

Depends on client setting. Theoretically, no one bothers him to start a full search from root every time, in practice, a request is usually made to a local DNS server (well, or to Googel-DNS, Yandex-DNS), which caches information according to TTL.
