Does the fact of having a video on the landing page greatly affect the conversion?

Hello!
There is a perceived need to make a video infographic, but there is no experience in this. Rumor has it that the very fact of having a video on the landing page (more or less high-quality, but not professional) greatly affects the conversion.
Does it make sense to spend time figuring out After Effect / Final Cut Motion to make some videos, or is it not so important and can be postponed until later when there is a little more time?
Sincerely,
Alexander.

If we are talking about a promotional video on the landing page, then you can make it yourself on the Movie.mi service mooovie.me everything is simple there - choose the appropriate video template and edit it directly on the site.

As a landing page developer, I will express my point of view.
Video affects conversion. Conversion can both increase and decrease.
You need to test and take into account a number of factors.
Is video relevant to your product or service at all? Is it of good quality? Wouldn't it be more convenient to use infographic tools or text?
You need to weigh all the pros and cons to make the best decision and test it.

Personally, I'm annoyed by the video instead of the background image. Extra fluff. Distracts. Well, if the Internet speed is low (hello from 3G), then the clumsy design will greatly upset the visitor.

I agree with Yuri. From experience (where else): you need to test. It can influence in any direction. There are no universal tools. Landing pages are a constant cycle of measuring indicators, hypotheses, testing.

The impact on conversion is highly dependent on the quality and plot of the video itself. But the very fact of the presence (that you can run some kind of video and watch it for a minute or two) has a positive effect on the natural growth of behavioral factors. At least the session time is growing, but besides this, the user's work with the video is also an array of clicks. Especially such a way to improve the PF as video placement is relevant just for landing pages, where, by definition, there can be no viewing depth.
