Does the domain zone affect search engine optimization?

Today I noticed that Google AdWord gives 2000 rubles for the first company. Decided to give it a try, why not. I already have a server, but as for the domain, I don't have it. By the way, IP was enough for my business. Well, I went to nic.ru to see how much domains cost in 2016.

Domain in the .xyz zone is only 19 rubles. I think to take if it does not affect, or affects slightly!

If you for Google Adwords - then the domain zone is generally up to the light bulb.
If you plan to promote in the search, it often makes sense to take the geographical area where the business is represented. But, in general, there are no serious problems with the ranking of new domain zones. Here is one of the responses from the Google team:
A. Our search engine treats new generic top-level domains just like any other (like .com or .org). The keywords in the domain do not affect its processing in any way.

@purplesky

Do you often see sites with the xyz domain zone in the top?
Splurge on 100 extra rubles a year and buy an orthodox ru or com :)
