Does the contractor have to compensate the Safe Deal commission in case of non-fulfillment of the order?
The situation is this, I did not meet the deadlines and received a negative review on the fl.ru exchange and did not do the work. I received negative feedback. The customer demands to return the commission to him, I personally don’t understand why, since I have already left a bad review. The question is, is it possible to somehow sneak up on me from a legal point of view if I do not return to the customer the commission that he paid for the Secure Deal?

I would return ... The cost of this commission will be much "less" than a negative review, because the customer, if he is arrogant, will write on all possible sites "Denis - KAZEL, because ... blablabla ...". Losing reputation can be very costly.
I missed the deadline and got negative feedback
Should the executor compensate the commission for a Safe deal
The customer asks for a refund
As a rule, "Safe Transaction" is a paid service and the protection of
the deposit for each new transaction is a separate use of this service, regardless of whether the order has been completed to the recipient + payment of the costs of arbitration + amortization of the implementation of the service). Accordingly, "Safe Transaction" is not a commission for an order, but a separate service for saving money, which ends at the moment the secure funds are transferred to the final recipient. The customer of the service pays for his deposit to be kept and returned to him if the order is not completed in a quality and timely manner. In fact, this is an insurance service and this service is connected with the execution of the order only by the fact that the result of the execution depends on who the money is transferred to.
If you believe your description of the situation, the customer ordered this service and he received it ( his money was saved and returned to him, because the order was not completed ). Respectively, from your words, the situation looks absurd: a person insured the house against robbery by paying for insurance, he was robbed, he received compensation for his property from the insurance company, and now he still wants the robber to compensate him for the cost of insurance.
