through the SFTP plugin for Sublime. So, then the client wrote that the page was cut off, etc., in general, you need to find the file change history via SFTP. I understand that most likely this is not possible, but still, as they say, what if. It is very necessary. Thank you.

Let's look at the question from a general standpoint:
1. Sublime Text is an advanced editor, even a very advanced one, and, in theory, all important functions should be present in it. Reverting to previous file changes, in my opinion, is one of those. 2. The program has a large community, more than 2500 plugins have
been written in total . When I once looked for an answer to your question, I was sure that the right plugin is there. Or at least there will be a long discussion on Google, where many are in favor of creating it. It's called Local History
. With the plugin installed, after you save any file in Sublime Text 3, a copy of the file is created in the Local History folder. The same file is saved again - a new copy is created, and the old one remains and is not overwritten. You can always return to any of the previous versions or compare the current contents of the file with them. Basic settings : you can set the storage time for versions - I set unlimited - and the path to the Local History folder.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to quickly replace the file with its copy, but otherwise Local History serves me for several months, and I had to resort to it several times.

Никакой локальной истории в Sublime Text (может плагины есть, но я не пользуюсь таковыми). Используйте Git в следующий раз или WebStorm/PhpStrom (в них есть локальная история без необходимости в VCS).

пользуюсь https://github.com/akalongman/sublimetext-autobackups более полугода
+ стабильность
+ гибкие настройки
- со временем становится долгое открытие списка рез. копий (когда директория с бекапами становится большой)
