Does raid performance drop significantly when Data Protection is enabled?

I can not find information about the effect of enabling Data protection (protection of data from damage due to memory errors, disks, etc.) on the operation of the raid controller.
Tell me, does the speed drop significantly when you turn it on?

Intel rms3cc080 controller, 8 disks installed, two raid 1 and one raid 10 (sata hdd)
