Does OS matter when choosing a laptop?
You need a laptop, mainly for development in java + working with instant messengers and a large number of browser tabs.
The laptop with pre-installed Windows worked for about 2 years without interruption. Mac worked for 8 years almost without interruption.
Question: in 2021, you can ignore the OS and choose a laptop purely according to its characteristics, or will MacBooks live longer?

Macbooks will live as well as a regular high-quality expensive laptop. If you buy a poppy beech - firstly, you will overpay, and secondly, you will not fully own it (you can’t replace something, as there is no such bios, other wasps will be installed crap).
Buy some laptop from 60-70 thousand rubles without a pre-installed OS, so save a little
