At the same time, Apple announced that it would not support the platform, for desktops it certainly rolls for now, but the JVM often causes a lot of trouble for users, the client-bank in the browser did not want to launch recently.
For native applications for Android, of course, the undisputed favorite, but will it continue? There is an opinion that from the native there will gradually be a transition towards web technologies (interfaces on HTML5, control on JS, etc.). What language, technology will replace it?

Yes, Java will not disappear anywhere in the foreseeable future.
For while there are no other languages and VM providing comparable cross-platform.
The language is quite popular, there are a huge number of libraries and ready-made products for it.
