Does it matter where the monitor is connected?

Good day,
I wondered if there is a difference where the monitor is connected, for software.
For example, there is a cool card, and an integrated one. If the monitor is connected to the integrated one, will the OS and software use the discrete one in full.
I see no reason why not, but if someone tells me I will be grateful.

There is a difference, you need a special driver. Some games will not run.

look in the downloads for the motherboard on the manufacturer's offsite for a thread like lucid logix.
this thing is used on all motherboards (hardware) and this driver can run applications selectively either on the built-in or on the discrete one (there are also features to improve performance). and in this case there is no difference where to stick the cable already.
