Does it make sense to rewrite content on a site to be revived?

Hello!
In September 2011, a website was created (5 pages of product description text and 15 product pages). Seasonal site - online store of winter sports products, i.е. in the winter of 2011-2012, it was actively promoted, advertised, etc. By the spring of 2012, the site was no longer needed and it was successfully forgotten. At that time, he was on the 1-2 line in the PS.
I consider it important to note the way the site got to the top.
1. Lack of great competition in the regional market;
2. Original content.
There was nothing else on the site that affected positions in search engines. Nobody thought about SEO at all back then.
Now, on the eve of a new winter, there is a need to revive the site again - to redesign the design in accordance with modern requirements and start an advertising campaign. The positions of the site, of course, have already gone into oblivion PS and no one knows on what pages it can be found there.
I will not ask about the general methods of reviving the site, I will ask only one specific question : does it make sense to rewrite the content, make it original again (instead of the old one)?
Sincerely, Alexander.

@Alexanevsky

It makes sense when the text is not unique. If the text is unique, then you do not need to rewrite it.
