Does it make sense to publish an Android game on third party stores?
There is a game "Railroad"
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.o0.game....
In the first month after publication, the number of downloads reached 60,000 per day, and now, after 4 months, it has slipped up to 1500. Is it possible to somehow increase the number of downloads? A lot of letters come to the mailbox from various third-party "markets" with a proposal to place an application, does it make sense to do this, will there be an effect?

Good result, congratulations!
I still have a record, in terms of installations per day - 160 thousand.
On the topic: IMHO, placement in third-party markets does not give any noticeable effect. It is better to spend these efforts on something more useful, the same marketing or development of the game itself. Or the next game after all! Because, after the game has already passed the peak of its popularity, it is almost impossible to change something.
Yes, free games should be placed wherever possible. A few downloads here, a few there...
And it would be nice to negotiate with some local publishers. In the same Korea, you yourself are unlikely to be able to publish something in their stores, and the user base there is large. In addition, in addition to publishing, the publisher himself will promote the game, as it is in his interests)
I think from placement on other markets the number of downloads certainly will not decrease.
In another way, you can increase the number by adding features to the game (levels, network mode). As an example, use DLC (then there will be more mentions of the game in the search). Or advertising.
Third-party markets will give extra, but very little, so it makes no sense to rely on them if the goal is to increase downloads.
To increase downloads, you need to engage in advertising and reviews on specialized forums and websites.
maybe you can contact the publisher, he may well help with promotion, somewhere in the wind there was a success article about it.
My answer, of course, is biased - but I still dare to advise the Amazon Appstore.
At a minimum, you'll have access to all Kindle Fire devices (there are currently four of them).
The vast majority of their users do not have access to Google Play - therefore, a good potential for increasing downloads.
Also, there are quite a few people who have it (Amazon Appstore) on their phone as well.
The Appstore has a lot of good stuff, but that would be completely advertising.
