Does it make sense to promote the site if many people have Adblock?

Is it worth promoting a content site and monetizing it with the help of contextual advertising, if many people have Adblock? Even Chrome has already announced its own ad blocker.

A lot of people in offices sit with ie old ones without adblocks)
Also, most phone users do not block ads.
And if you have interesting content, then gain traffic and give paid advertising.
And monetization with the help of context will still bring something, but it should not be the main source of income from the site.

If the goal of the site is to profit from contextual advertising, then it’s better not to really promote it and find something more interesting :)

Even Chrome has already announced its own ad blocker.

it will block annoying ads, such as pop-up windows that do not close the first time, etc.

You will have to get more visitors in order to have the same income that a smaller number of visitors used to make.
And the original reason for this is not so important - AdBlock takes money from you or just competing sites.
The ads won't disappear completely, don't worry.
Too many freebies on the Internet are based on it.
Though the same search engines-giants.

I want to say right away that earnings on contextual advertising and without adblocks were small. It may be enough for life, but no more.
I would recommend looking towards CPA. All the money is there now, and no adblocks are scary.
