Does it make sense to mount /home on another drive?
I want to install the system on an SSD, there is also a larger HDD available. Does it make sense to mount /home entirely on it? As far as I understand, user applications are installed in / home and then when mounting / home on the HDD, I will lose the main advantages of the system on the SSD. Maybe then it's easier to make symlinks to folders like "Video", "Music", "Downloads" and others?

Applications are usually not installed in /home. Application settings are stored there (which may be important for the speed of their launch, although usually not very), user files, etc.
If you want to lose the dignity of ssd for all this, then you can mount / home on hdd. But it's better to make storage for heavy files that do not require quick access separately, and leave / home on ssd all the same.
