Does it make sense to learn to write in bash, or is it better to start in Python right away?

Hello.
Now I'm at the fork. It seems like bash is a must have for the admin, but at the same time there is Python, which is already very popular and not only in terms of writing scripts to automate routines.
On the other hand, my future colleagues will probably not understand me - Linux-admin, but does not know bash))
Point me to the right path.
