Does it make sense to install Webpack and Node JS for Vue JS development?

Good day! Should You Install Webpack on a LAMP Server? My CRM works on jquery, I wanted to switch to Vue. Webpack comes bundled with Node JS, can it be installed with Apache? And is Node JS needed on a production server? In Runet could not find a detailed answer to the questions. Thanks in advance

NodeJS and webpack are installed as dev-dependencies, meaning they are only needed during development. You don't need to put them on the server.
