if Angry Birds inspires you - Welcome!
ps here the PL is not particularly important, it is important what you will do with the application next, you
can write an unrealistically cool game a la "Quake 2077" in Go, C #, C ++ and only you and your friends will use it, or you can clone the sea battle to javascript from github and shovel cabbage...

C# is actively developing at the moment, and the .net framework has become cross-platform, which promises a great future for it.
And Java develops much more slowly and is mired in bureaucratic approvals. Therefore, all new Android projects are written in Kotlin.
Summing up thoughts: Java is pointless to learn. It makes sense to learn Kotlin or C#. Both languages have potential. But not Java.

I also had a chance to work with Java once, I will say this: in terms of convenience, with C# and the .NET platform in general, hardly anything can compare today. I chose Xamarin Forms because I needed an application for two platforms at once (ios and android) in the shortest possible time. There you can also choose native development for a specific platform, of course, you can read on the Internet about the advantages and disadvantages of Xamarin, but if it is as short as possible: you get a completely native application, unless if your application is focused on working with complex graphic elements, then, probably, java or kotlin is better for best performance, otherwise xamarin is a great solution. This does not mean that xamarin cannot make a quality application focused on complex graphics, this means that for this you will spend more effort than doing something similar on the same java, because xamarin has its own nuances. In the application that I made, there is also a display of lists with photos, a built-in messenger (and these are hundreds of messages, among which there are photos) and nothing slows down, despite the fact that I am a beginner and have not optimized anything yet. Well, it is worth noting that there are already many cool plugins that make life much easier. Anyway, good luck) which make life a lot easier. Anyway, good luck) which make life a lot easier.
