Does it make sense to check links for errors and fix them?

There is a site, something like a catalog of stores.
The page with a specific store itself looks something like this:
5c1beb3593714811533324.jpeg"Link to section" is a link to the official store, to a specific section.
There is a miracle script on the LAN, which, by clicking the "Check" button, checks links to HTTP 200 OK.
Of course, from time to time the links change by the owners of the store and the links become either HTTP 301 or HTTP 404
.
In general, what is the question, what is the point, that is, what do I correct them for "correct"?
There is only one thought in my head - if the links are crooked, then it turns out that I am providing incorrect information for the user and this is not very good (after all, now, as they say, sites should be made for people).
PS Comrade "chitor" Yudin, I'm waiting for you :D
