Does HTML 5 (iPad) support video streaming?

Web standards experts, can you please tell me if it is possible to start streaming video on the iPad?

As I understand it, it all comes down to the H.264 format. Does he stream?

As far as I understand, the video tag in HTML5 is not protocol dependent.
Here there is an indication that streaming only works in the Konqueror browser.
If you have a server that streams video, you can drop access to it in a personal, and I can check the performance on my iPad.

If my memory serves me, then the last press conference of Apple was broadcast online just through HTML 5 and it could be viewed on the iPad.
