Does GeForce 500 series support directx 12?
On my windows 10 (latest updates) with a gtx 570 card and latest drivers it shows directx 11.2, and the official website says my card supports dx 12 ( www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx- 570 at the bottom left of Supported Technologies). I found information on the Internet that support was only announced for old 500 series cards, that is, dx 12 will be in the future on new drivers, but again, as I indicated earlier, the official website indicates that everything is ok.
Question for those who know for sure - does the GeForce 500 series support directx 12?
if yes - what actions are required from me to get the last direct x
if not - tell me when it is planned to release dx 12 for my card
And one more thing - I'm so eager to get dx 12, because I read about the possibility of combining the work of the integrated video card and my gtx 570, I need this to allocate additional memory for the integrated video card from RAM, since the 570 has only 1 GB of memory, and together they have will be 2.5 (maybe I saw that the maximum can be allocated 1280 MB from the operational for the built-in video card).
- at the expense of the latter, I would like to clarify with those who understand - did I understand this whole scheme of operation of the built-in and 570 video cards together and the allocation of additional memory? and tell me please how it is implemented? thank.
