Does everything in Drupal display the result of a request in an Ajax window?

Greetings!
Please help with the following task: there is a separate type of material that has only a header, which, in fact, is a unique order number, and another field (list) with several states ("in progress", "pending", "repair" finished", etc.). It is necessary to make an input, entering into which the order number the visitor could quickly get (in the Ajax window) the status of the order. Can you please tell me how this can be done?
