Does everyone have such a system of minuses?
I noticed an interesting trend here, if at least someone put a minus for a comment, then everything, write wasted, they will merge for nothing to do, asked the habrazhite - how do you even vote? the answer killed - yes, we sit, we read, we see the minus is worth - we put one more minus, open the profile and the minus into karma, and it doesn’t matter what the comment is about, we don’t even read it. A kind of descent of steam as it turns out. Q: Is everyone doing this?

Definitely not. Personally, I try to be as objective as possible, and downvote as little as possible (especially karma).
I practically do not minus, only for obvious nonsense or impudence.
I rate a comment based solely on its content. If I consider it adequate, I upvote, even if there is a deep minus, and vice versa. I try to minus karma as little as possible.
Why do I get minus karma if the comments are mostly positive?
This is what I can't understand.
I always vote after reading a comment. Minus very rarely and only if outright nonsense.
I don’t write outright nonsense myself (in general, I rarely speak out), but someone downvoted my karma, so now I don’t vote at all :)
I often try to pull out a more or less normal comment from the minuses so that they don’t slap me yet.
no, you've been lied to. For me, if comments get a minus, then it rarely falls below -2 or -3. I can’t say about my behavior, because I haven’t put any minuses yet.
Of course, I understand that the well-fed does not understand the hungry, but still I will speak out.
Why don't I have these problems? Why don't half of the people I invite have them?
Maybe you should follow the language and your creativity?
Here, NEMMO, are you sure that your article about “staying on Habré” is interesting to someone besides you?
Cons, if globally, is good. Content is better. It happens that it hurts good people, but, it seems to me, within the limits of statistical error.
I'm not lucky at all. I have never been able to vote - you just express your opinion - immediately the minuses fly. Including - to karma (It seems to me that I will never get out of them ...
It seems to me that those who really do as you described will not unsubscribe in this topic. Here you will see mostly answers “no, we don’t we do.” For such is human nature…
I minus very rarely, but usually for laziness - a clearly unfinished or sloppy article. I don’t minus those with whom I simply disagree, especially comments - unless I disagree ethically.
Plus good useful articles (I don’t plus news retelling), and their authors, as well as consistent, informative, adequate and ethical commentators (not necessarily those with whom I agree).
By the way, it's weird. Karma 0 (90 votes), 2 (90 votes), 5 (92 votes). Maybe it's just buggy? :)
I don't know the aglorhythm, but this is already the second flaw in the interface after "You have 5 votes left for karma...", although karma = 5.
It is very difficult to get out of negative karma. Every day it is pulled back and forth: one person plus, the second minus, the third plus, then 2 minuses. It feels like they go into the profile, see a turnip -2 and think: “Ah, well, it’s still in the red, let’s minus one more.” The same is true when karma is 0 - +4. They will make +2, then they will make -1, then +1 again and so on in a circle.
It feels like they don’t want to let me out of the minus, they don’t give a chance on purpose. For what? Why so much hate?
Checked on myself. Barely got out. Thanks to the guys who put me +. You gave me a chance.
Hmm, you are on point.
Yesterday I wrote one comment about the fact that java, in my opinion, is the best language for building enterprise systems.
Someone downvoted…
After a couple of hours, karma changed from -2 to -6.
Sad feeling unfortunately...
interesting… there are no negative comments here.
all the minus ones sadly leave the post without salty slurping :)
“Yes, we sit, read, we see the minus is worth - we put another minus, open the profile and minus the karma, and it doesn’t matter what the comment is about, we don’t even read it.”
- It seems to me that this person just has a good sense of humor :) yes, there are those who minus for no reason, but you shouldn’t pour out your soul here. This happened with every habrauser (and with some more than once). It is necessary to treat this stoically and treat the opinions of other people more tolerantly. I doubt that someone really downvotes for nothing, otherwise it will just be too lazy to open the user profile, and then drag the mouse to the minus ... you need at least some motivation for action :) Apparently, the minus one has his own attitude to your comment / article that is different from yours, but that's okay.
The only onethe real disadvantage of downvoting is that it takes away the right to publish articles. This is - yes, this is - a real flaw in the system of karma circulation. But this should already be corrected by habraadministration.
ps^ the main thing is not to respond to minuses with minuses, not to generate new aggression (it smacks of religion, okay). I believe that such “karma kindness” will save the community.
Personally, I prefer only plus (comment, topic, karma). Not because I'm so "kind", or I'm afraid to offend someone. The thing is different: even if I read nonsense, I draw conclusions from this nonsense. Since an “inadequate” comment has appeared, it means that someone thinks so, this is someone’s thought. Once my teacher, a very experienced and respected person, told me: what is a mistake for one, for another is the beginning of a great deed. Since then, I have been very attentive to criticizing other people's thoughts - even the most delusional ones.
To be honest, the negative system on Habré sometimes infuriates me - not at all because I periodically fly into the minus, but because I read Habr via rss, and now I see a very interesting topic in the feed, with an interesting plot (and sometimes just “la- la-la for beginners, ”although I was a beginner about 5 years ago) - and I really want to read what the author thinks about the subject, and suddenly I released something. But no! You open a topic and ... moved to a draft. Cause? Surely they began to merge into minuses and write comments like: why is this here.
In general, let's respect each other and respect other people's thoughts and opinions, even if they contradict ours.
Exclude flame sections/topics from your area of interest. I’ll tell you a secret - these are all in which there are more than 20-30 comments.
When hamsters run up, you can get into cons even with an adequate, sensible, sane answer.
Do not enter into a discussion longer than 5 answers - it's pointless.
I was in the minuses, then I got sick, made a reset, but it didn’t work out and I’m causing someone a little pain, so I regularly get minuses :) - apparently because I don’t like to follow my own advice.
To be honest, I'm just too lazy to go to the profile and put a minus. Plus - please, the person tried. And if suddenly there is a desire to minus a comment, I’ll get ready, think and understand that besides me, they will still instruct him with minuses, and I’m not minus.
That's what's interesting. Separately - everyone minus only for the cause, and just like that they don’t shit on karma. But in general ... In general, we have what we have.
As a rule, adequate people, if they downvote, then in the comments they write for what. One of my articles, for example, went into minus for the fact that there were no photos of the device that was written about, as reported by the comments. The slip was corrected, and literally after 2 hours she was again in the black.
I can’t say about inadequate backing tracks, thank God I came across this only once
