Does anyone know the minimum distribution of Windows XP with a working Internet?
Good day! Can anyone recommend the smallest windows xp distribution to run on a virtualbox virtual machine? It is necessary to run the maximum number of copies on the PC, so Windows should consume as little RAM as possible. All that is required of him is a working Internet and a framework that is not cut out, or with the possibility of installing it. For the second day I’ve been looking for what I need, but if Windows consumes about 100 MB of RAM, the Internet is definitely missing .. No drivers can be treated .. Maybe someone knows such an assembly, advise, I will be immensely grateful to you.

Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs
Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs is not a general-purpose operating system. It is designed to work with the Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection client or third-party clients such as the Citrix ICA client. In addition, it allows for a limited number of workloads to be executed locally, including security software, management software, terminal emulation software, document viewers, and the .NET Framework.
Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs (WinFLP) requires:
# A minimum of 611 MB of free hard drive space. Actual requirements will vary based on your system configuration and the applications and features you choose to install. Installing all optional components requires 1151 MB of disk space. These requirements are reported on the screen as you select options in the Setup wizard. Additional hard disk space may be required if you are installing over a network. Also, you should reserve additional space for future updates and service packs.
# A computer with 233 megahertz or higher processor clock speed (300 MHz is recommended); Intel Pentium/Celeron family, or AMD K6/Athlon/Duron family, or compatible processor is recommended.
# 64 MB of RAM. 256 MB of RAM is recommended.
not quite an answer to the question (winflp has already been suggested), but I think on the topic.
virtualbox can "combine" memory pages of several virtual machines duplicated in the guest (dedupe). when writing to them, the CoW mechanism is triggered.

with a bunch of identical virtualboxes, it will greatly reduce the consumed memory, but a possible source of additional jambs will appear.
IlikoN IlikoN : there is a distribution kit XP S3 "weight" of only 100mb..it was not tested, therefore I don't know its "appetite". I can send it to e-mail.
