Does anyone have any info on advanced character animation usage?

Let me explain. I'm talking about the fact that the days are gone when developers manually adjusted the character's movement speed to the animation of his walking, so that his steps would look natural. But for example, with uneven animation (limping), this will not work. Here it is already necessary (in my opinion) to somehow refine the animation during execution (procedural animation ??). So I ask you to leave any different information (articles, videos, whatever) on the topic of how to correspond to modernity in this regard; I heard that IK is connected to this. Well, in general, let's go.

You need Root Motion, there is an article about it in the manual . You can also look for presentations on their channel , there were several for GDC not so long ago. Inverse kinematics is needed for the correct placement of the foot on the ground, it does not affect the speed of movement.
