Does a regular video driver crash indicate the need to replace the card?

Since the last windows installation (a month ago), the installation of fresh drivers for all peripherals, regular driver crashes occur, as evidenced by the corresponding image friezes and video card control panel messages.
The feature of the frieze is manifested exclusively in games, programs and flash / js applications work out normally.
Iron is not very informative:
Core 2 Duo 2.13ghz
Asus GTS 450
4gb DDR2 Kingston 2x
Motherboard asus (I will not name the exact model).
Tell me, is this a software problem?

nVidia always tweaks the current driver for the latest model. Therefore, as a user of almost all generations of this company, starting with RIVA 128, I advise you to find a driver designed for your card (although Californian marketers constantly talk about supporting all cards). The nearest place is the disk attached to the map.
