Does a microwave oven affect a nearby laptop?

My laptop is 30-50 cm away from the microwave (It is rarely used, but is always plugged in). Now the laptop is whistling hard (I'm almost sure that this is not related to the microwave). But there are concerns about this, as I bought a new laptop, and if there is even the slightest chance that it will deteriorate because of this, then I would prefer to put it in another place.

Whistling hard - obviously not from the microwave. From the microwave, the microcircuits and / or tracks on the motherboard will be the first to burn.
A working microwave with a tightly closed door - definitely should not affect the laptop, there is good radiation isolation. In principle, a microwave oven can. defective or initially poorly designed - well, in the first place, it will kill a person.
Nevertheless, it is better to put the laptop away. Somewhere on the shelf...

And if I put a working laptop nearby and the microwave turns on, it freezes. Not always, but I noticed this effect. Maybe a coincidence, maybe...

If the microwave casing is damaged, then it can affect wi-fi, and can also cause harm to a person. If you don’t get internal burns near the microwave, then the case is in order, and there is no point in worrying.

There inside the transformer is about a kilowatt of power and some effect from the magnetic field is possible at 50 cm.
Plus, when opening, for example, a door during operation, protective switches are triggered there, between the contacts of which sparks occur. This can also give interference that can affect operation.
Personally, I would move at least a meter and a half.
