Does a master's degree in any technical field satisfy the requirement of a diploma in Computer Science or equivalent?
More interested in the context of obtaining a visa (work permit), rather than communicating with the employer. An employer can demonstrate skills at an interview, along with examples of work, but visa officers may have some formalities. How is it in developed countries? Are there any general trends?
PS I have a master's degree in welding and related technologies, but I am developing in the direction of web development.

The general trend is that if an employer is interested, then a work permit will be issued to you, regardless of any other factors.
