Docker Toolbox for Windows 7 - very, very outdated? Can it be used in real development on W7?
I decided to get to know Docker better, and suddenly it turned out that my Windows 7 was no longer suitable for it.
I read that you can use the Docker Toolbox, but here (on the Docker website) https://docs.docker.com/docker-for-windows/docker-... they write that everything is already outdated.
I have two questions:
1. What is really outdated, so outdated that it is impossible to install and work with actual images for Docker?
2. I read that Docker Toolbox uses inside VirtualBox - so can just use familiar VirtualBox instead of Docker? Will it eat as much disk space as VBox, or will it still be used in conjunction with the system, as promised in the advertisement? ))
These are NOT rhetorical questions. I would like to hear the answer of experienced specialists in this.
Thank you.
upd.: If I put the question in a general sense - how can I work with Docker under Windows 7?
