Do you use assemblers for layout?

Do you use builders in your Gulp or Grunt layout? Or are you using other tools? I'm looking for a faucet to type in live mode, what can you suggest? Since I think that on Grunt Gulp what would it be like to collect everything through the console, or is there another method?

Does someone else in 2017 still typeset on bare html / css without additional tools?
Gulp is our choice.

I will say this: if you don't type natively, you create a crooked template, but you will notice the crookedness only later and by chance. But site users will notice much earlier and stop visiting such a site due to various HIDDEN OPTIMIZATIONS and MODIFICATIONS of styles by external tools / packers.

Of course we use it, but how do you imagine the layout with bare hands, but in our time :), pick up a ready-made Gulp assembler on github or on the Internet and over time, with understanding, optimize for yourself.
