Do you think it's worth trying to save a laptop battery or not?
Good afternoon, here I have an unusual question. At the moment I am studying abroad (Slovakia) and I need a laptop for my studies, as the specialty is related to computer technology. Therefore, at the moment I have a dell vostro 5402 laptop and the problem is this. I need to spend a lot of time learning matan, programming languages and other things. All this requires a laptop, but as we know, they have a battery. My laptop can live somewhere for 2-3 hours, then it needs to be charged for 2 hours. And so every time, you have to wait 2 hours, this can happen 3 times a day. Total: about 6 hours of wasted time . The loss of this time can be avoided by connecting the charger to the laptop. I have a stand with coolers under my laptop, so the laptop does not heat up.
But here are the questions:
1) Should I work with a laptop that is connected to the charger?
2) Does it make sense to keep the battery if it will be unusable after some time anyway?
3) Do the laptop components themselves deteriorate when charging is turned on?

80 percent of the time I work with my laptop connected to a charger.
The laptop is already 4 years old, it works quite normally on battery power, but, in fairness, I did not measure the probility of the work, there was no need.
I'm not sure that the place of residence and specialization at the university affect the life of the battery.
