What is the intended attack vector? Security from what?
From the fact that "my friend dropped the server"? in the DC it is usually high, you have to manage to lose data there.
From outside access? Of course it is necessary - Windows usually either opens everything or closes everything :)
From any holes in the system? Install updates on time - and the maximum possible (for Windows) security will be.
