Do you need to be good at programming in PHP if you work with frameworks?

If you know the basics of OOP, is it possible to work on real projects in the framework?

I think that's enough said - Don't learn frameworks, learn architecture

Depends on what kind of programmer you want to be. If one of those because of which PHP is so disliked, then yes - go ahead, if not, then I advise you to understand the details of the framework, try to implement the same structure, but on your own (of course, for the purpose of self-education)

If you are making a business card website, it may work without knowing the language. A framework is just a framework that simplifies and standardizes development, but nothing more.

I think yes! Costs!
But keep in mind that when working with frameworks, you are unlikely to make your first project in good quality.. But you will gain experience, which is very valuable..

The main question - who needs it?
Employers? Far from everyone.
To you? I'm sure you know as much as you need.
Guram on the sites, with his weighty opinion?
Learn what is in demand and what brings money. But if there is money and there is work and there is time - try to write your own framework in php, for general development.
