Do you need HTML to learn JavaScript and PHP?
I study in the 10th grade, I have a desire to do web programming, but from an overabundance of information, like many beginners, my head is cracking. I want to do Backend, the server part is more attractive than the visual one. The question is, is HTML knowledge necessary when working with JavaScript and PHP? I have superficial knowledge of HTML (how to lay out a page with frames).
If they are needed, please advise a tutorial.

Learning JS and not knowing HTML/CSS is quite an ambitious decision.
Of course, you can understand PHP without knowing HTML, but what's the point of learning web programming languages and not understanding the basics?
I would advise you to first learn how to layout with divs and after that revive the layout through JS/PHP.
There is a superficial knowledge of HTML ( how to lay out a page with frames ).
Yes, definitely.
Otherwise, there will inevitably be questions like "my database has eaten all the line translations !" and "And the database truncates any text to a single word!"
Not to mention such exotic cases as the SQL query depends on the color of the html table
I would venture to advise such a plan:
1. http://htmlbook.ru/samhtml + http://htmlbook.ru/samcss
2. http://learn.javascript.ru/
HTML and CSS contain a lot of subtleties that professional layout designers know. You will not need these subtleties. But you should definitely know how it works in general (at least at the level, take bootstrap and make a couple of project pages based on it).
I myself am now in the 10th grade, I am learning PHP / JS myself. And yes, I'm also learning HTML/CSS, at least for practice.
just today I read a post on this topic on Habré, I liked the phrase that JS programmers have every chance to repeat the fate of Flash programmers: A game of 0 lines of code on pure JS
Real tough programmers should learn Flash,
so if you don't come in handy in this life, then in the next 100%
Usually such questions are not asked, since HTML / CSS are associates in this case to the study of JS. As mentioned above, it makes no sense to learn a powerful web programming language and not know the layout rules.
