Do you need emulators for Android development?
I have an Asus Rog g550jk laptop. Core i5 4200H, 6gb DDR3L 1600MHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M, SSD 120gb.
The laptop is slim with a poorly designed cooling system and gets quite hot, so I use Ubuntu.
Android Studio is working fine. A laptop is enough for everyday tasks, but emulators are very slow since Android 6.0. Under Windows did not try to work because I'm afraid that the laptop puffs.
1) Tell me, how much is it necessary to run emulators with all versions of Android in real industrial development? Tell us how this problem is solved in your company?
2) I will be looking for a job soon. I don’t know whether they will give a computer or not, I hesitate in making a decision about buying a new iron. What do you think, take it?
3)I know that there is Genymotion Saas. Does anyone have experience with it? How much does it cost you on average?

1) I hope you are not running +100500 emulators at the same time with all versions of android? Run the emulator while developing with the lowest version of android you intend to support. When you finish writing the code, you can check on different versions. And of course, on real devices.
2) If you are going to get a job in an office, you will be given a computer. If they don’t have money for your computer, then don’t go to work with them, because you most likely don’t have money for your salary either!
3) I don't think cloud devices will have comfortable debugging. The most convenient debugging is on real hardware.
