Do you need an Armenian passport to register a domain in the .am zone?

Good!
I wanted to register an .am domain, and it seemed like they asked for a passport of an Armenian citizen.
Is it absolutely necessary? Tell.

An Armenian passport is not needed. There are only two restrictions specific to this zone:
1. Registry restrictions for domain names: Geographical names, country names and two/three-letter country codes (ISO > 3166 Country Codes), widely known acronyms and abbreviations, generic terms, also the registry can revoke a domain if it is proven that the domain is being used for spreading spam and/or any illegal or inappropriate purposes (to stir up an international, ethnic, religious discord, to abet in international terrorism, to promote violence, to boost up pornography , to support trafficking).
2. The owner contact details have to be stated in full length, no initials are accepted from the registry and this will also cause the revocation of a domain name.

To register a domain in the .am zone, you need to read the regulations of the zone registrar. There is usually a registration process. If it is not indicated there, but demanded, ask on what basis.
