Do you need a service to store images in the style of a SaaS solution?

There was an idea to implement a service that would take on the functions of loading and storing images for use by other services.
This will save website developers from "reinventing the wheel" on their own. All the other service developer needs to do is place the script and initialize the image receiving widget.
Each uploaded image will return its unique id and a link to this image, which will always be available to the developer to implement their functionality.
Can you tell me if there are already similar services? And if not, would anyone be interested in using it?

This is a useful service. Now I use cloudinary.com for everything related to pictures.
