Do you know any tools to analyze git repository nodes?

Once we had a huge archive of pictures that flew into the github repository. and although we removed them, the commit still remains somewhere in the history and now it takes a very long time to deploy the project from the repository.

How to clean this node as if the pictures were never uploaded? surely there are tools to visually work with this. Or at least so that you can see when and where it was done in order to somehow roll back and undo that change.
