Do you have to follow the recommendations of the server manufacturer?

There is such a machine . The recommendations say that the maximum size of one disk is 300Gb. Can I put a disk larger than 300Gb?

Are you sure that there are SCSI disks larger than 300Gb in nature? I can't remember them right off the bat.

You can install, no one forbids. The question is, will the server see the entire disk space and be able to format it? Most probably not. The maximum amount (300 GB) will be available, but most likely the system simply does not recognize such a disk and there will be a "no disk" error.

There was once a problem in the ML380 G5 to install disks of 4Tb size. I decided to install an adapter - well, and disks in two free slots. As long as it works :)
