Do you have a question about domain age?

I am creating a coupon site for the US market. I read a lot that the age of the domain affects the ranking of the site in the search engine. But if, for example, I buy an already registered domain. That age will be reset, as I understand it, because the owner and hosting have changed?
Not? Or now this indicator does not affect SEO?

You need to buy a coupon domain where there was a coupon site, otherwise you will only be in the red and you won’t get traffic from a fresh site

Hosting change has no effect. Age affects when a domain has a history of use. If he has stood in the parking lot all these years, then you will not get anything good from age.
At the expense of the change of ownership - no idea, most interesting.

changed owner and hosting

does not play a role at all.
The main thing is that the subject does not change. If the search engine decides that this is a different site, the age will not matter.
And as @Stalker_RED said
In addition, it is important to understand that the influence of age on positions is minimal. Moreover, young sites get good positions for some time. So I would not try to fool the search engines, but would focus on making a good site. Users will like it - there will be positions. I understand that when we make a landing page, you can still think about how to optimize it, but on such a project, you shouldn’t bother with the age of the domain and similar crap. Only if you are an SEO specialist and you are paid money for it. Then you have to splurge and engage in nonsense.
