Do you accept work from clients with unconfirmed payment details?

Should I refuse customers who do not have verified payment data? After all, such clients may simply not pay even for hourly work. Or is it unrelated?
And in general, have you come across a "scam" on ODESK / Upwork and how to avoid it and deal with it?

I usually ask the client about the reason why the payment details are not confirmed. As a rule, clients apologize, and try to confirm them as soon as possible.
