Do they use OCaml now?
Good evening.
I recently learned about the OCaml language. Looked - quite an interesting thing. I looked for jobs and didn't find any. There were only a couple, but there OCaml was a secondary, optional requirement.
Tell me, what is the reason for such unpopularity of the language? I'm not saying that it is not used anywhere, but there is no work on it. Seems like a good language.

Because it does not have any particularly striking advantages over other languages in this niche, and it is very difficult to roll into popular products if it is easy to replace it with other tools.
It's expensive to use unpopular tools, so it interferes with itself.
