Do people now program under symbian at all?

How relevant is this OS now? How are applications distributed for it?

The company I work for now develops mobile applications for their products for iphone, ipad, android and windows mobile. About a year ago, in response to the question "Will there be an application for symbian?" a very big boss replied "we don't develop for dying OSes".

I think that quite a lot of applications are written and ported for this operating system, since the Symbian market share is still large, and many budget phones based on this operating system are still being released, which are popular.

Nokia rushed under Windows Phone, but even there she is not doing very well. Symbian is slowly dying, that's how it is. Today, universal systems like Android or WP rule everyone. Symbian will not be able to fight them.

Under ^3\Anna\Belle, something else sometimes comes out, but not on 9.4 and earlier.

I tried at one time, about five years ago, but you have to sign there, and getting a signature is not easy.
In short, she died so died (c)

I used to write under Symbian and for the last two years I have earned my living exclusively with Symbian applications, but now there is no money there (even in the top), respectively, there are no developers either. In addition, Nokia has already officially confirmed that the Nokia 808 was the last Symbian device.
