Do I need to remove the old Raid? When installing a new raid?

Good afternoon!
A question. Raid 1 is installed on the server (in an emergency state).
I want to replace both hard drives. Do I need to delete the old raid when installing a new raid?

It's not entirely clear what exactly you mean by deletion.
If you have a copy of the data stored on the old RAID 1, then it should be enough to remove the old disks, create a new array and copy the information to it.
If not, then you can open one of the disks in R.saver on a Windows computer , it will almost certainly read everything from there without any problems. "Almost certainly", because the degree of failure of your array is unknown.
Or are you interested in the possibility of leaving old disks "hanging" while connecting new ones?
